Edmonton police seeking witnesses to pedestrian hit and run :- Around 2:10 a.m., on June 7, the 29-year-old pedestrian was walking her bike northbound in the crosswalk at 66 Street and 23 Avenue when she was hit by a westbound vehicle, the Edmonton Police Service said.
Police said the vehicle was a newer model black Ford Mustang that reportedly fled the scene westbound on 23 Avenue, then briefly returned to the scene, driving eastbound in the westbound lanes before fleeing westbound.
The vehicle sustained “significant damage” to the front driver’s side of the vehicle, police said.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are seeking witnesses to the collision as well as dash camera footage. Anyone with information regarding the hit and run is asked to contact police or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
